Last summer, I read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. The book tells the story of a young boy named Tom who lives in a small town on the Mississippi River in the 1840s. Tom is a mischievous boy who loves to play pranks and get into trouble. He often skips school and spends his time exploring the river and the surrounding countryside with his friends. One day, Tom and his friend Huckleberry Finn witness a murder in the local cemetery. They are afraid that they will be blamed for the crime, so they run away from home and become pirates. They live on an island in the river for several weeks, having adventures and exploring the wilderness. Eventually, they return home and testify against the real killer, saving an innocent man from being wrongly convicted. After this adventure, Tom and Huck find a treasure in a cave and become rich. They continue to have adventures and explore the world around them. "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" is a story about friendship, adventure, and growing up.
