One morning, Jack found three more magic beans in an old wooden box. He planted them in the garden, and by the next day a huge beanstalk had grown into the clouds. Jack climbed to the top and discovered a beautiful castle.

Inside the castle, Jack met the giantess. She was sitting sadly by the window and looking at an old picture of the giant. She felt lonely because the giant had disappeared. Jack told her that he had chopped down the beanstalk to protect his mother, but he was sorry that she had been left alone.

The giantess forgave Jack and showed him a room full of magical books. Jack chose a book that could make crops grow. He took it home and used its magic to help his mother’s farm. Jack felt happy because he had helped both his mother and the giantess. After that, he visited the castle only as a friend.
