Good Manners Book Project

1. In groups, brainstorm good and bad manners in your country.

   Good manners:

   • Saying "please" and "thank you."
   • Holding the door open for others.
   • Chewing with your mouth closed.

   Bad manners:

   • Talking loudly on your phone in public.
   • Cutting in line.
   • Being late for appointments.
2. Choose three things to write about.
   • Using polite language.
   • Respecting elders.
   • Being punctual.
3. Now make your book.

   The Book of Good Manners

   In my country, you must... respect your elders.

   You should... always say "please" and "thank you".

   It's polite to... offer your seat to someone who needs it more.

4. Show your book to the class.
