Thomas Finch is a very busy man. He is 55 years old and he has thirteen jobs. He is a policeman, a firefighter, a postman, a taxi driver, an accountant, a petrol attendant, a school-bus driver, a barman, a boatman, an ambulance doctor, and an undertaker. Besides, he and his wife Sally own a small hotel and a shop.

Thomas and Sally live on a small island in the west of Scotland. Only 120 people live there. In summer about 150 tourists come there by boat every day.

Every day Thomas gets up at 5.30 and cooks breakfast for the hotel guests. At 7.50 he drives the children to school on his school-bus. At 9.00 he collects the post from the boat and delivers it to the inhabitants of the island. He delivers alcohol drinks to the pub. After that he helps his wife Sally
