We do lots of sports at school in Britain. The most popular school sports are field hockey, football, netball, rugby, cricket and swimming. What sports do you do at school? 1 The most popular sport is football, of course! Players have to try to the ball into the other team's goal. They mustn't touch the ball, but they can use their heads. You play field hockey (not ice hockey) with a hockey on grass. You can hit the ball hard to try and score a goal, pass it to another player or 'dribble' it. (When you 'dribble', you move the ball with short hits.) You have to be brave to play hockey because the ball is hard and it often hits the players' legs. Ouch! The photo comes from our school competition last summer. 4 Have you ever played rugby? The player with the ball has to carry the ball, pass it or kick it to 4 points.
