Present Perfect Tense

The Present Perfect tense is used to talk about experiences that happened at an unspecified time in the past, or actions that started in the past and continue up to the present. It connects the past with the present.

• Form: Subject + have/has + past participle
• Use with 'for' and 'since':
  • 'For' is used to indicate a duration of time (e.g., for two hours, for three weeks).
  • 'Since' is used to indicate a starting point in time (e.g., since Monday, since 2010).

Example Sentences:

• I have lived here for ten years.
• She has worked here since 2015.
• They have travelled a lot.
• Have you ever been to Paris?

'Have' vs. 'Has'

• 'Have' is used with I, you, we, they.
• 'Has' is used with he, she, it.
