There are three kinds of gorillas, but Ben went to Africa to learn about Mountain Gorillas.

These live in the jungle and in forests. They only live there. People often think that gorillas are dangerous animals but they only get angry and fight if their group is in danger.

Father gorillas are called Silverbacks because when they get older, the hair on their backs goes silver.

Mountain Gorillas eat fruit, leaves and flowers. They very often eat small insects too. They spend all day eating, playing and looking after the younger gorillas. There are only about 700 Mountain Gorillas in the world. It is important that we all find out about them!
