My Favourite Author

My favourite author is Jules Verne, one of the founders of science fiction. He was born in Nantes, France, in 1828. Before becoming a full-time writer, he studied law in Paris and worked in the theatre. Verne wrote exciting adventure novels based on scientific ideas and discoveries. He created many unforgettable characters, including Captain Nemo, Professor Aronnax and Phileas Fogg. His famous books are Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Around the World in Eighty Days. I enjoy his books because they inspire readers to explore the world.
